Pine Wood Way Campground was established in 1963 by Paul and Irene Williams of Wareham Street in South Carver.  The small family campground has grown from 13 sites in 1963 to 103 today.  Located in the heart of cranberry country, it is nestled among the serenity of evergreen trees and white pines.  Pine Wood Way has always prided itself by providing a quiet, relaxing seasonal campground with spacious, shaded sites catering to individuals and couples looking for tranquility in an outdoor setting.  Today, Pine Wood Way is still family owned and operated by Robert and Lynne Tinkham of South Carver.  They continue to honor the tradition of Robert’s grandparents, Paul and Irene, by providing a campground that is friendly, quiet, clean and relaxing.

At each site, campers are provided with modern hookups for water, sewer and 30 Amp electrical service.  Traditional fire pits and picnic tables, surrounded by tall, mature trees complete the old-time feel of camping in natural surroundings.  There is a large bathhouse on site with modern amenities including hot showers.  A screened in club house with ceiling fans, overhead lights, electricity and large table and chair sets provide a spot where campers gather to play impromptu card games and owner-sponsored appreciation dinners are held.

The campground is in close proximity to Sampsons Pond.  This town-owned gem offers seasonal boating, swimming, and fishing (separate privilege stickers and/or fishing license is required and available at Carver Town Hall).
